Pertaining to completion of surveys:
The Department for Transport (DfT) is funding the Bikeability Trust to deliver this cycle awareness learning course. On behalf of DfT, the Bikeability Trust will carry out internet surveys to understand people’s views on the learning course and cycling in general. The processing of this information is necessary for the exercise of our functions as a government department If your answers contain any information that allows you to be identified, DfT will, under data protection law, be the Controller for this information.
In order to carry out this research, we are asking people who register for the course to allow the Bikeability Trust to use their name and email address to contact them again for one or two further internet surveys in a few months’ time. You do not have to participate in the internet surveys if you do not wish to. Your name and email address will only be used for the purpose of contacting you for these surveys.
The information you provide in the internet surveys will be pseudonymised before being provided to Ipsos MORI, the research organisation which will carry out analysis of the results. Your name and email address will not be shared beyond the Bikeability Trust but will be stored on secure servers within the UK and destroyed within 12 months of the end of the surveys.
